Here’s another easy, quick and a delicious dessert recipe!!
Lemon Caramel Flan
You’ll Need
1/2 Cup White Sugar
2 Cups Milk (preferably whole milk 3.25%)
3 Eggs, Beaten
3/8 Cups (6 Tbsp) White Suga
Zest of 1 Lemon
Let’s Get Started
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a heavy saucepan, over medium heat, melt 1/2 cup sugar until golden. Carefully, pour the hot sugar evenly into an oven-proof glass dish. Tilt it gently to coat the bottom of the dish with caramel, evenly.
Meanwhile, in another saucepan, over medium heat, heat the milk just enough to bring it to a boil. Turn the heat off. Whisk in the 2 beaten eggs, a little at a time, while continuously whisking, so the eggs don’t scramble due to the hot milk. Whisk until well combined. Stir in 3/8 cup (6 Tbsp ) sugar into the milk and mix well.
Pour the milk, egg and sugar mixture evenly into the glass dish with the melted caramel.
(If the caramel has firmed up, it’s okay, it will still turn out good.)
Sprinkle the lemon zest over the milk mixture.
In a roasting pan, place the glass dish. Fill the roasting pan with enough boiling water, so as to reach halfway up the side of the glass dish.
Bake for 40-50 minutes, until the flan is set. It will still be a little jiggly in the center. Just let it cool.
To serve, invert the glass dish over a plate and the flan should come right off.
And Voila!!! There it is, your delicious Lemon Caramel Flan. Enjoy!!
