Chocolate Crescents

Another one of my favorite cookie recipes. It’s got a wonderful texture, with a little bite on the outside, but the center is, oh, so soft!
Try it and you’ll love it!
Chocolate Crescents
You’ll Need
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar
Let’s Get Started
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
In a bowl, stir together flour and cocoa and salt, until well blended. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream together, butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add in it, egg and vanilla and mix further till the mixture is smooth. Add the flour mixture slowly, in batches, until the dough is fully incorporated. The texture of the dough will be dry and crumbly.
To make crescents : take a tablespoonful of dough and shape it into a 3 1/2 inches long log. Now, bend the log in order to form a crescent shape. Form all the crescents. Place the crescents on a baking sheet, about an inch apart, so they don’t stick together while they bake.
Bake the crescents for about 15 minutes or until the cookies are hard from the outside and the center is soft. Cool on the baking sheet for about 2 to 4 minutes.
Roll the crescents in confectioner’s sugar while they’re still warm, so that the sugar sticks to them.
Your Snowy Chocolate Crescents are ready. Enjoy!!
Makes a great cookie-exchange cookie.
