A bowl of hot, bubbling pot of healthy soup on your stove is a perfect solution for a cold wintry night. Here’s a simple recipe for a delicious satisfying clam soup.
Spicy Orange Clam Soup

You’ll Need
16 Cherrystone / Littleneck Clams, Scrubbed and Cleaned
5 Cups Fish Stock
3 Green Onions, Finely Chopped
1 Tbls Parsley, Finely Chopped
1 Tbls Soy Sauce
1 Tsp. Hot Sauce
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Pepper
12 Orange Peel Juliennes
1/4 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
Finely Chopped Parsley For The Garnish
16 Cherrystone / Littleneck Clams, Scrubbed and Cleaned
5 Cups Fish Stock
3 Green Onions, Finely Chopped
1 Tbls Parsley, Finely Chopped
1 Tbls Soy Sauce
1 Tsp. Hot Sauce
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Pepper
12 Orange Peel Juliennes
1/4 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
Finely Chopped Parsley For The Garnish
Let’s Get Started
Put cleaned and scrubbed clams and fish stock in a large saucepan. Cover the saucepan and bring clams and fish stock to a boil.
Once it starts boiling, reduce heat and simmer the clams until they open. Discard any unopened clams! To it add the green onions, parsley, and soy sauce and hot sauce. Bring to a boil and let boil for about 3-4 minutes.
Voila! Your Spicy Orange Clam Soup is ready to be enjoyed.
To serve, divide the clams among 4 bowls. Then ladle the soup over the clams and sprinkle parsley, red pepper flakes and orange juliennes over the soup. Serve immediately and enjoy!
