Description

Cayenne Pepper is a fiery spice that is made from the dried pods of pungent chili peppers. This spice is extremely hot and pungent to taste. However, it has very little aroma. Cayenne pepper is used in Asian, Middle Eastern, Central and South American cuisines. This fiery spice is also used quite extensively in the West Indies. Cayenne Pepper adds a flair to dishes.

Origin

Cayenne Pepper is indigenous to the West Indies, Central and South America. It was discovered by the Spanish explorers who introduced them to the rest of the world as "Pepper". Cayenne Peppers were grown in the Central and South America and the West Indies for thousands of years.
