Origin
Horseradish is found commonly in Oregon. The earliest account of Horseradish comes from 13th century western Europe, where Danes and Germans used it as a condiment, stimulant, and digestive medicine. It was introduced in England in the 16th century, where it is still used to treat coughs and hoarseness. It was brought to the United States in the 19th century, and it now grows wild along the East Coast.
