Rose wines are also referred to as Blush Wines. These wines are not truly red but are usually, pale orange or light red or pale pink in color. Rose wines are produced by removing the skins just before the liquid is a deep red. Hence, the pale rose color. Excellent rose wines come from areas in Portugal, France, Spain, Canada, Australia and the USA. Rose wine is light, crisp and quite refreshing, making it a perfect summer drink.
